High Five Friday

It's Friday!!!  I'm hooking up with Lauren again from My Grey Desk for her High Five Friday party.

My other half has been away this whole week so I didn't expect to have as great of a week as I did...I am surprised at how many highs I had, it's hard to narrow it down to just 5 this week!

Suzy from suzyhomemaker and I have finalized everything for our Patriotic Link-up Party!  It starts this Monday (Memorial Day).  I just can't wait to see what projects and recipes everyone shares!

I took a day this week to spend time with my grandmother (Nana), and my Aunt.  I always have such a great time with them!  They both always make me laugh!  I even picked up some gardening tips (and plants) from my Aunt, which came in perfect for my plant shopping trip the next day!

Ground cover from my Aunt...fingers crossed it will grow!

I had dinner with a very special friend who I hadn't seen in nearly a year!  We had so much to catch up on!  It was great to see her, hopefully we won't wait another year to see each other again!

My plant shopping trip was definitely a high of the week!  My friend and I went to a local flea market...we were very thrifty with our purchases.  We made sure to check out each stand before choosing who we would buy what from!  I came home with flowers, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, cucumbers, cantaloupe and watermelon!    I'm not sure where I'm going with all these plants!

The best high of the week is my other half coming home!
To top it off we'll have this long weekend to spend together after  the week apart!

I hope you had a fabulous week with so many highs that you can't even count them!
Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!

  1. Found you via High Five for Friday.

Let me just say that the flowers are beautiful... I have a tendency to kill flowers, no matter how hard I try to keep them going!

Have a fabulous memorial day weekend!

    1. Elizabeth, So many people seem to forget to spend that precious time with their family, don't they? I'm sorry you are missing your grandmother now...I bet you have beautiful memories though!

Hope you have a great weekend!
